Document Scanning Service: United Imaging provides clients with immediate, tangible benefits such as; reduce file space, improved productivity, and more efficient information management by using our document conversion, prepping and indexing services. UMG will scan their documents or microfilm any vital business information and convert them into digitized images making them easily accessible, as needed.
Document e-Storage: In addition to providing digital files of scanned documents, United Imaging can also upload images to DVD's, web based FTP server, the client's server, or any other Cloud/web-based storage site for instant online retrieval. They can also store your paper files within their secured storage facility, allowing for convenient access to your original documents.
Medical Records Scanning: We scan microfilm into digital images from any microfilm media, jacketed film, aperture cards, 16mm or 35mm roll film. We inspect, clean film before scanning, and as needed adjust the image quality to compensate for the film density changes throughout the microfilm media. After film scanning we can data enter/index the scanned files and import to your imaging application to merge with paper scanned files as required.

Document Indexing Options: To rapidly retrieve digital documents and supporting information from scanned records, United Imaging uses manual indexing/data entry where the images are viewed, data entry keyed in and verified against the clients indexing specifications. Additionally, UMG uses automated methods such as OCR – Optical Character Recognition, ICR – Intelligent Character Recognition, and OMR – Optical Mark Recognition which is the recognition of filled in bubbles from designed forms. Finally whenever possible UMG barcodes pages during the preparation process to identify lead folder, name/number file, file type, and section of the record.
Scanned Images to Microfilm Archive System: As part of UMG´s Records Management Services, digital images can be converted/scanned files back to microfilm for long term archive storage; many State Governments require scanned files for daily access but for archive storage want the digital records backed up to microfilm. Creating a microfilm backup of your digital files and images can be a core component of a disaster recovery plans, considering that when stored under proper conditions, archival microfilm can be read for hundreds of years.
